End of Summer
|
Today, I will visit Lobo Peak through the San Cristobal Canyon and hike until the light is gone, and I am no more than part of the night. I could easily venture just halfway to the meadow, but I want to soar this day into the alpine air, to sit alone and smooth the wrinkled pages of my book.
it is all faded now
and moored only
gently to this earth
a purple blue gentian
nudged by the breeze
