Mauve Wild Asters

a covey of quail passes let out of cages into the wild for autumn hunting

fortunately the birds find places to hide: blackberry thickets, wild clematis hedges

now and then a grey-blue heron will come down from the sky to perch near the spring water basin and try to snatch goldfish from its depths

wand-like trees
untouched by storms
densely clustered
