Eulogy

Dr. Don George was my professor in China in the late 1970s; he was also my rebirth father because he brought me to this beautiful country and gave me a new life in the small city of Hattiesburg.

in the town where
I was born
I’m asked
where I’m from

He taught me how to pronounce a word in English, how to mow the grass, and more importantly, how to be a man in my life.

over coffee
memory an aroma
of old times

Without his and Mom’s generous support and guidance, I wouldn’t have been able to find my way to this new world. I thank him for giving me a life and for being my father.
