Reflections

In my mind, I speak to you about everything, while wishing we were together. The train I'm riding runs past small houses. Rain drops – silver jet streams, travel their own journeys on the window. The green boughs of willows drop low over a river. Large farm fields seem to be rushing to the mountains. Clouds flow toward the horizon. Right now, this, the whole of my life, I offer you.

I know you are of my imagination, but for me you are becoming. I wonder who you will be? My soul mate, I hope. You are all of these worlds I am sharing. And those you'll share with me. I wonder how I'll find you. I wonder when.

rain from the sky
our hands hold the pulse
of our beating hearts
